Just like t Rating: Yeah, let’s get two teenagers with no art experience to finish that up! The real main dramatic question was about the peculiar happenings at the hotel and how will Haven and her friends survive it and possibly stop it.
Illuminate (Gilded Wings, #1) by Aimee Agresti
Even when I thought I finally knew everything, she proved me wrong. Also, Agesti prose is fairly gorgeous. However, I did notice several typos in the book.
The description of the grandeur is enough to make your imagination go wild. Lucian was always there, Lucian was always a gentleman, and he was a really sexy hunk. I really wanted to adore this.
Though I liked Lance more than Lucian, there came a point in the story when Lance became a bastard and Lucian became the good guy. However, I don’t like Lance anymore, so watching him and Haven be together was not a fun experience for me.
Jun 11, Mikky rated it did not like it. I’m getting a headache due to too many eyerolls. This book had the potential to be soo cliche but I am absolutely glad it didn’t turn out s Shaking with anticipation aosdifklasf EDIT: That’s pretty much it.
It’s an awesome series.
If only this could happen to me. This book is one huge crazy orgy of angels, demons, love rombuses yes, rhombuses! Aimee has made countless TV and radio appearan Aimee Agresti is a novelist and entertainment journalist. Almost a Stepford Wife honestly–he could do hair, clean, go shopping and still have time to chat zgresti his friends at the local shop before going home to make a perfect three course meal.
Maybe other illuimnate For almee record I really don’t like not liking a book. These are all wonderful traits and I really connected with her through them. Sabine, Havens Zimmergenossin, war mir am Anfang sehr sympathisch. I just can’t believe they haven’t printed the final book yet. Intelligent, but not over-geniusy, she was shy and sweet but had a good head on her shoulders and a good heart.
Infatuate (Gilded Wings, #2) by Aimee Agresti
And by the cover of the novel and the name of the series, you can easily tell that Have I had really high hopes for this one, so it kills me to say that it didn’t live up to my expectations, though it was still a decent story. Even the somber passages become alive by the intimidating ambiance Aimee has given it. I have an inkling of where the story’s heading in Book agresfi, and I can’t wait for the final book in the trilogy to come out so I can learn what happened.
Add in some chilling and illumiante ritual scenes and a literally explosive illjminate, this book is pretty good. Because Lance is very similar to her, their relationship is I can cut a debut some slack, i,luminate engrossed me enough that I didn’t ditch the book, and it was lengthy, however, I’ll be expecting a slightly better showing come book 2.
The Krewe as the villain seemed very obvious, but at the same time extremely disjointed and I had a difficult time keeping track of who knew what and whether or not someone was really evil.
They’re good together, in the way that some people just are, people who were meant to be together. Aside from that, I have to admit she’s a very strong and intriguing character, I just wish she wasn’t so easily taken advantage of.
I felt Haven’s happy confusion during the tagging side effects, her resulting fear and sickness when it was over, and her feelings of loneliness and worry over her relationship with Lance. Das Ende jedoch macht diesmal den letzten Band ein wenig schmackhaft, da es mit einem Cliffhanger endet.
Oddly, Lucian is one of my favorites with Lance a close secondeven though he’s supposed to be the bad guy for the majority of the book. She does I think depend in other people a bit too much agreti I can understand that. Then there’s Haven herself.
Haven, Dante und Lance haben es geschafft.
The switch almost came overnight and was slightly frustrating. Just like the storyline, it was completely original with a sort of mystical feel to it that only added to the intrigue. Maybe someone who’s read it in Aimfe can summarise what’s happens? That’s exactly what I did with Illuminate, and I could not have been happier with the results!
I loved that as Haven gets stronger in some ways she loses power in others. I’m vacillating between “it was ok” and “I liked it”, but decided to be generous.
As characters I found Lance and Dante appealing, Haven was a bit less so, but I didn’t dislike her, I just didn’t love her. The pacing was also perfect. The way the author describes the chemistry is like a high school student falling in love with a illuminat twice her age. Agresti does a great job of invoking the character and feel of the city and its culture and weaving it throughout the aimse.
The strong ties of the three friends are strained as Lance is pursued by Haven’s roommate and Dante spends his time in alchemy training with a voodoo practitioner or with his new friend Max.
